This section is designed to help you design and prepare recruitment and selection documentation for Managers and Supervisors and others with full or partial responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environmental Management responsibilities on sites where minerals are being extracted and processed. Sites will normally be covered by the Quarry Regulations (1999) but may also be marine sites where materials are being dredged.

There are two parts to this section:

Recruitment

• Preparing material for recruitment advertising and/or briefing those responsible for the recruitment process.
• Designing documentation for prospective candidates to complete to assist the selection process

Selection

• Preparing a format for decision making in the selection process
• Providing guidance to those responsible for the recruitment decision
